Sergey Bubka noted that lately there has been a special rise in the development of Ukrainian volleyball. In 2017 women's and men's Ukrainian National Teams got great victories in the European Volleyball Legue, there were achievements at junior and youth levels.
Sergey Bubka, who is also IOC Executive Board Member, emphasized that the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine considers support and cooperation with federations as a priority and strategic direction - more than 70% of the total budget of the NOC is distributed through various programs to national federations for administrative assistance, athletes’ and coaches’ support, etc.
Aleksandar Boričić noted the significant progress of Ukraine in the development of volleyball that сould be good example for other countries how to move forward.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the implementation and implementation of school volleyball projects, the provision of educational institutions with the necessary sports equipment, the development of women's programs and the conduct of international women's volleyball tournaments for different age groups, in particular on the territory of Ukraine, as well as organizing of judicial and coaching international seminars in the territory of Ukraine.
The leaders of the European Volleyball Confederation also announced plans to develop snow volleyball - new discipline that is gaining in popularity and may eventually enter the Winter Olympics program.
